Favourite Board Books: 3 - 6 months
This is the second instalment in my series of posts on books my daughter liked in her first year. Click through for the previous post on books for 0-3 months.
During the 3 to 6 month stage we were still primarily using books during tummy time, or sometimes as something to prop up while she practiced sitting but she began to show interest in bright colours. She also started to show more interest while we read to her.
Some favourites over this time were the beautiful, bright illustrations in Numbers All Around Us by Rachael Sarra and Kindness Makes Us Strong by Sophie Beer (as well as others in those two series). We also particularly loved the Noni the Pony by Alison Lester and Wombat Big, Puggle Small by Renee Treml, which have great read a loud rhythm and very cute animal pictures. A lot of lovely picture books now are also produced in board books, such as many of Alison Lester's, so you can introduce a more durable version early on.
